Katherine Mitchell, MSW
Therapist
Katherine Mitchell, LMSW is a Licensed Master Social Worker who earned her Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida. She joined the Bridging Hope team in 2023 and is deeply committed to supporting survivors of sexual violence with compassion, safety, and respect.
Prior to joining Bridging Hope, Katherine worked at Jessie’s House, where she supported girls in foster care, first as a staff member and later as an interning therapist. These experiences shaped her trauma-informed approach and strengthened her passion for helping survivors heal from sexual trauma and reclaim a sense of empowerment and choice.
Katherine is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and holds a 200-hour yoga teacher certification, which informs her holistic, nervous-system-informed approach to trauma recovery.
Outside of her work as a therapist, Katherine enjoys spending time outdoors hiking with her husband, their two sons, and their dog, Bluey. She also values connection, laughter, and time with close friends.
