
Leigh Wiles
Statewide SAKI Advocate
As a victim advocate, Leigh gives essential support to victims of sexual assault. Leigh has a B.S. from Shorter College and an M.S. from Jacksonville State University. Leigh previously served as an Investigator for the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services, where she was Investigator of the Year, as a certified forensic interviewer for a District Attorney’s Office. She also served 27 years as a counselor for the Georgia Department of Corrections where she provided direct services to offenders at a Level 5 state prison. Leigh retired from DOC as the Chief Councilor for a residential substance abuse treatment center.
In 2021 Leigh joined the statewide Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) taskforce which works to serve primary and secondary victims of cold case sexual assault and homicide.
