Leigh es licenciada por el Shorter College y tiene un m\u00e1ster por la Universidad Estatal de Jacksonville. Anteriormente, Leigh trabaj\u00f3 como investigadora para el Departamento de Servicios Familiares e Infantiles de Georgia, donde fue Investigadora del A\u00f1o, y como entrevistadora forense certificada para una Fiscal\u00eda de Distrito. Tambi\u00e9n trabaj\u00f3 27 a\u00f1os como asesora para el Departamento Correccional de Georgia, donde prest\u00f3 servicios directos a delincuentes en una prisi\u00f3n estatal de Nivel 5.
